Some Summertime Reading

My characters make and eat the food in the actual stories.

Don’t forget – the entire Tarnished Saints Series is now finished! I know a lot of readers are saying it’s sad that it is over and that they’ll miss the Taylor brothers. I will too, but they will always live on through the stories. Watch my site for information on a new series releasing later this year.

Hi everyone! Taming Thad – Book 12, the last book of my Tarnished Saints Series is now available for purchase. Thad Taylor is the youngest of the brothers and uses his inventions to help Zoe Fenton who is blind – whether she wants help or not. I’ve had a lot of readers tell me how much they’ve enjoyed this series and how sad they are it is coming to an end. Thank you all for taking this incredibly long journey with me and waiting patiently as each of the 12 Taylor boys’ stories came to life.

Be sure to read the prequel as well as each of the 12 books. (KU reads free.) Igniting Andrew: Release Day

And now available for pre-order is the last book of this series – Taming Thad – Book 12. Thad Taylor is the youngest of the Taylor Twelve, and has his hands full when he makes a promise to a dying man and ends up marrying the man’s daughter – who he didn’t know was blind.

Twenty years ago, the idea of the Tarnished Saints Series was born. I had just started writing romance at the time and thought to myself – wouldn’t it be a great idea to have a series about twelve brothers – sons of a preacher – named after the 12 apostles – but they’re trouble with a capital T. Hence, the tagline was formed: The Taylor Twelve. Sons of a preacher but far from saints, these men are nothing but trouble!

I must say, through the years I started to wonder what I’d been thinking to take on such a HUGE task. Doubting Thomas was written, but sat in the closet until 3 years ago when I started self-publishing. Luring Levi followed shortly afterwards, and Judging Judas had a long wait for its release. But now, three years later, all the boys’ stories have been told. (This was a very daunting project and I can’t say I ever plan on writing a series this long again!)

Thank you all for your patience through the years as I finished the series. This series is very close to my heart since it is based on some of my own life experiences. The setting is fictional – but real to me, as it is where I grew up visiting my grandparents on the lake. I see this series as books of memories of instances in my own life – added to new ones to make it a humorous, dramatic, and exciting series. These Taylor boys will make you laugh and make you cry, and before you know it, you’ll start believing that they are real. I feel like I know each and every one of them personally, and I wonder if you can guess which one or two are my favorites.

Cover reveal: Wrangling James – Book 6

I know a lot of you have been waiting patiently for Wrangling James – Book 6 of my Tarnished Saints Series. Well, I’d like to show you the new cover, and let you know the book is scheduled for release this month – targeted date being Novemeber 17th.

James Taylor is a twin to his lawyer brother, Zeb. He’s a rancher who’s sold his ranch and moved back with his horses to his hometown of Sweet Water, Michigan. He’s not had a great track record with women, and has a problem telling them ‘no’. When Mindy MacAllister comes to live with her grandfather on the farm where James works, things heat up. But Mindy has a daughter and also a secret tainted past that’s sure to destroy their relationship and push James away, when all she wants to do is move closer into his protective hold.

This summer I spent time on lakes and docks and doing a lot of boating as part of my research for my new release, Saving Simon – Book 5 of my Tarnished Saints Series. (Click series name to watch book trailer video.)

New Release & Free Book (Tarnished Saints Series)

Hi everyone!

Welcome to My Writing Process Blog Tour, and I would like to thank medieval award-winning author, Laurel O’Donnell for inviting me to be a part of it. Please stop by her site for medieval as well as paranormal action-packed books.

Now, for my big news, Judging Judas – Book 3 in my Tarnished Saints Series is now available! Judas is the sheriff of my fictional small town of Sweet Water, Michigan. This differs from a lot of series by the fact it is about twelve sons of a preacher who are far from saints. Matter of fact, they are nothing but trouble!

This is my 30th published book, and I’d like to thank you all for your support. In celebration, and for the first time ever, I am offering Doubting Thomas, Book 1 of the series FREE from May 6-10th only. And be sure to pick up Luring Levi – Book 2, as well, followed by Judging Judas.

To talk about my writing process, my idea was to have 12 brothers – each named after an apostle. Their domineering preacher father wanted them to carry on in his footsteps, but as you’ll see, the Taylor boys didn’t have the same plans. <Grin> This series is about romance, redemption and finding the will to carry on no matter what hand life deals you. And since I don’t like books to get too dark, I’ve managed to bring a little humor into the stories to keep them balanced.

My tarnished saints are just that – men who have been raised with rules and morals but also lost most of them along the way, becoming a little tarnished. They deal with real-life problems and issues that we all go through, and are forced to make decisions for a better future because of their mistakes of the past. There is a lot of inner turmoil that makes them search the depths of their souls to find forgiveness as well as to change. For example, Levi has gone to prison for tax evasion, turned in by his own brother, Judas. Ok, so I’m having fun with this idea, but beware, these are steamy romances and not G rated.

My idea for Thunder Lake and the little town of Sweet Water came from my own experiences of growing up and visiting my grandparents who lived on a lake in Michigan and were five miles from the nearest, small town. And though my Taylor boys have all gone their separate ways after the death of their parents, an inheritance left to them in their father’s will is bringing them all home to be reunited once again. (I feel a TV mini-series in the makings here.)

And as for the process of how I write – I do not plan everything out ahead of time because these Taylor boys end up doing whatever they want and changing it anyway. I admit, I’m having a hard time controlling them. But with 12 brothers and their personal stories in the making, I’ve decided to finally start writing down info to help me keep things straight by the time I get to the last book and also keep me sane.

So please pick up a copy of Doubting Thomas today, and I hope you will continue with the stories of his brothers, Levi and Judas. And keep watching my website, as Seducing Zeb will be released this summer. I hope to have a different brother’s story released every few months.
