Happy 4th of July to those of you who celebrate the holiday. I’ll hopefully be out on the lake watching the fireworks from the boat if the weather holds up. I’ve decided that this is my official start to summer. No more remodeling projects around the house. From now through fall, I am going to be relaxing, enjoying myself and believe it or not, finally starting a new series! I’ll tell you more about it in my next newsletter, but here is a hint: It’s Scottish, Medieval, and has something to do with those lovable but crazy guys in my Madmen MacKeefe series.
For now, I have a free book and a special deal to hold you over and give you a little more to read this summer. Hired Heart is FREE from July 4th to the 8th. This book takes place on a tropical island, but don’t let that fool you. It takes place at Christmastime, so we have a little Christmas in July going on here.
Remember the show Fantasy Island? This is a little like that where fantasies come true in a paradise-like setting. Samantha Forester has a crush on her Scrooge of a boss, Max Sutherland. So when he asks her to book a trip to Aragon Island where he can inspect the work of his construction crew, she takes the advantage of booking fantasies for the two of them without him knowing what he is walking into! (Some of my Bad Boys of Sweetwater make guest appearances in this fun story, so you don’t want to miss it.) Pick up a tropical drink and get ready for fun in the sun.
Get Hired Heart for FREE from July 4th – 8th. Kindle Unlimited members read free as well.
Medieval lovers, I decided to offer you one of my all-time favorite books on kindle countdown. Forgotten Secrets, Book 4 of my Secrets of the Heart Series is only 99 cents from July 4th through the 10th! Lady Morag is daughter of one of the Legendary Bastards of the Crown. She is known to be a gossip, and can’t keep a secret for the life of her. But when she starts having feelings for Lord Bedivere and finds out he is an assassin, her power to remain silent is put to the test.
Get your copy today for only 99 cents. The books in the series can be read in any order. Be sure to pick up a copy of the audiobook afterward for a discount! (KU reads series free)
Now, for a fun and easy treat to make for the holiday. When I wrote Lady of the Mist, one of the dishes being served was a Scottish Crowdie. This berry trifle is a modernized adaptation of the dish and a heck of a lot easier to make. Just click the link to get the recipe for Echo’s Berry Trifle.
Well, I’m off to watch fireworks and hopefully catch a little sun. Until next time,
Elizabeth Rose
