As an avid gardener, I have a great herb garden and want to share some ideas with you how to use all that mint that tends to take over. You can use the fresh leaves to brew into a tea, add them to grilled peaches (see my new recipe page) or add them to a fruit smoothie like the one I made here.

Fruit Smoothie (Handful of each) Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries. 1 small banana, 1 small orange, 1 cup vanilla yogurt, a handful of ice, and several fresh mint leaves. Blend in blender til smooth. Squeeze fresh lime over the top and garnish with fresh mint leaves.  Happy gardening! Elizabeth Rose

    • Patricia, I like a dark edge to my heroes as well. Like Basil, in my vampire romance, The Caretaker of Showman’s Hill. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

    • I think my favorite is paranormal as well. My book Familiar with my warlock in denial is one of my favorites. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

    • I love writing medieval, and Ladyhawke is one of my all time favorite movies. Lord of the Blade is the first medieval romance I ever wrote. Thanks for entering – Elizabeth Rose

    • I like to combine a touch of paranormal with medieval, like in my book, Lady Renegade. My heroine is blind and can see out of the eyes of her owl on her shoulder. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

    • Thanks Angela. I love creating new recipes, especially on the grill. I got inspired by the show, Chopped, for my book Luring Levi. In it, there is a food cooking competition at the fair. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

  1. I’m not really sure I have a favorite genre it depends what sort of mood I’m in. I like to read everything from classics, westerns, historical, contemporary, paranormal and even steam punk 🙂 As long as its a good story I’ll read it

    • Savannah, I’m like you that I like to read, as well as write them all. My latest release was Ian – Book 3 of my MadMan MacKeefe Series. It is about a crazy Scottish Highlander. I have a Western series planned for sometime in the future as well. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

    • Hi Leslie. If you like paranormal, you may want to pick up a free copy of my Greek Myth Fantasy romance, The Pandora Curse. It is free until Thursday. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

    • Hi Mary. If you like historical, you may want to check out Amethyst – book 4 from my Daughters of the Dagger series. Amethyst works with a master mason in building a castle. You can get the prequel for the series Free. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

    • Elizabeth, I love the historical fiction too and try to include holidays into my medieval books so people can see where things originated. Such as in Ian -Book 3 of my MadMan MacKeefe series. I show a Samhain celebration and the origin of trick-or-treating and also jack-o-lanterns and what they were used for. My Legacy of the Blade Series has holidays being celebrated in them as well. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

  2. Thanks everyone for leaving comments so far. I love to hear what everyone likes to read. Good luck in winning one of the prizes! – Elizabeth Rose

  3. I’m a huge fan of dark erotica, the darker the better. The story can be any sub genre~ historical, regency, contemporary, scifi~ doesn’t matter as long as it’s not sugary sweet 😉

    • Elise, Thanks for entering. I can’t say I’ve written any erotica or anything really dark, but I do like to torture my heroes both mentally and sometimes even physically. I think Ian in Book 3 of my MadMan MacKeefe series is one of my most tortured by the demons of his past.

    • Thanks Veronica. I’m sure you’d be interested then in my Daughters of the Dagger Series. Thanks for entering.

    • Thanks for entering. I am excited to be working on my small town contemporary series, Tarnished Saints right now. Juding Judas – book 3 will be released in April/May so be sure to watch for it.

  4. Thanks for the tips about mint. I’ve always wanted to try growing an herb garden.
For romance genres, I enjoy a wide variety from contemporary to paranormal, but probably spooky gothic romances are my all-time fav.

    • Catherine, I’m happy to share the mint tips. I actually have apple mint growing in my yard. And while I haven’t written any spooky gothic romances, I do have vampire romance that takes place in a cemetery, called The Caretaker of Showman’s Hill. Check out the booktrailer video on my page. Thanks for entering!

  5. I’m a huge fan of historical romances preferably set in the 19th century. I also enjoy historical mystery/suspense books too like those by C. S. Harris (St Cyr Mysteries) and Ashley Gardner’s Captain Lacey series.

    • Hi Karen. Glad to know you enjoy historical romance. Mine are all medieval, set in the 14th century, such as my Legacy of the Blade series or Daughters of the Dagger. Thanks for entering! – Elizabeth Rose

    • Hi Judy. I like paranormal and historicals as well. You might like my Elemental Series or my Greek Myth Fantasy Series as they are both very paranormal and written in a medieval style. Thanks for entering! – Elizabeth Rose

Thanks for entering, good luck! – Elizabeth Rose

  7. I love fantasy and UF, like the Black Jewels novels by Anne Bishop or the Downside series by Stacia Kane.

    Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

    • Thanks for mentioning these books as I’ve never heard of them, but the Black Jewels looks like something I’d be interested in reading. I’ve had a plan in the back of my head to write fantasy, just haven’t gotten there yet. Probably the closes thing I have is my Elemental Series or my Greek Myth Fantasy series. Thanks for entering! – Elizabeth Rose

    • Lisa, I’m with you, I love powerful women and would have it no other way in my books. I think some of the most powerful ones would be in my Greek Myth Fantasy series, like Lysandra my Amazon warrior princess in Thief of Olympus or Vara the conqueror in The Pandora Curse. Thanks for entering. – Elizabeth Rose

    • Alisha, if you like paranormal, you may like my Elemental Series. Thanks for entering and good luck on winning the contest. – Elizabeth Rose

    • Jeanette, if you like paranormal, then you may want to check out Familiar, my warlock in denial – there is shapeshifting in this book too. Thanks for leaving a post. – Elizabeth Rose
