Invitation to Read!

This week’s Rose’s Read is Ian – Book 3 of my MadMan MacKeefe Series. Only 99 cents through Oct. 29th, KU reads entire series free!

Ian’s story starts out at a bonfire on All Hallow’s Eve, or Samhain as it was called back then. I love putting holidays and history into my novels, and with Ian you will find how the traditions of Halloween started back in the medieval days. It was said the dead can part the veil and come back to life for one night only on All Hallow’s Eve. Children begged door to door for soul cakes – little buns made with spices and currants and marked with a cross on top. It was said that for every soul cake eaten, a soul was released from purgatory.

While pumpkins weren’t present in medieval England, gourds were carved instead. A candle was placed inside and the gourd was set on a doorstep to keep away the evil souls that roamed the night. Find out more about this holiday in Ian, where a man with a dark, secret past and a woman who is his best friend’s sister come together on All Hallow’s Eve and go through Hell and back together before Ian realizes it is all right to fall in love with a good friend.

Get Ian for 99 cents this week! Afterwards, pick up the audiobook for a discount. Click on the photo to hear a sample of the audiobook or to buy.

Or if you would like to sample some books from my medieval and medieval/paranormal series, for a limited time you can get Protectors of the Heart Boxed Set – with four novels from four different series for only 99 cents.
